Gavin Blackburn steps down as Chief Instructor

After many years as chief instructor, Gavin Blackburn has decided to step down.

Due to family and work commitments, Gavin no longer feels he can spend enough time fulfilling the chief instructor role. He feels the clubs would suffer due to his current restrictions.

As a consequence, Jason Clarke has been promoted to Chief Instructor. Jason has been training in CRCA Wing Chun for over 15 years and is a worthy successor to the role. We look forward to the input Jason will bring. Congratulations Jason!

Gavin will retain his status as CRCA Instructor. Currently he only teaches privately to selected students. Students who know Gavin will still see him as he will attend seminars when he can and sometimes drop in to train at the clubs. No doubt we will see him on our nights out too!

Gavin is a long time student and friend of Randy's. He has practiced Wing Chun for over 20 years. Gavin has studied the complete CRCA system under Randy. He is responsible for originally setting up the UK CRCA clubs and running them until this date.

All of us at CRCA would like to say a massive thank-you to Gavin for all his years as chief instructor. If it wasn't for him, the majority of us here in the UK wouldn't be hooked on Wing Chun like we are today!
